  4. To understand the relationship between band wavelengths and common surface features, go to http://biodiversityinformatics.amnh.org/tool.php?content_id=145 .Set the satellite mode for LANDSAT ETM + widths. Select Key features cheat grass, asphalt, concrete, snow, and tap water.  Identify the band that is most useful to tell the difference between the two features.
  5. To see what manmade satellites are in space and where they are, go to: http://science.nasa.gov/Realtime/JTrack/Spacecraft.html  Click on J-TRACK 3D. Browse views, satellite, and options.
