Directions for Obtaining Ohio LANDSAT Images
Use these directions if you want specific Satellite image dates, locations, and information. This process takes a few minutes for each band to download with a high-speed connection. Each downloaded band needs 57 MB of storage so think through which image date to download. Background requirements: Familiarity with basic software keys such as open, close, save as. Pre-downloaded and familiarity with the free MultiSpec© software and tutorial. (Recommended) See http://cobweb.ecn.purdue.edu/~biehl/MultiSpec/Index.html for more information on Multispec that is not provided here. A basic understanding of satellite images is helpful (i.e. term familiarity: bands, false color imaging, resolution).
